We aim to defeat poverty and disadvantage through job creation. We help businesses in emerging markets scale from micro to SME by utilising the skills of volunteers.
* Since 2012 I have helped grow Balloon from startup to a £2m+ per annum social enterprise with 30+ staff. Annually Balloon now trains 600 volunteers to work with 1200 entrepreneurs and invests £90,000 in emerging market businesses across 7 countries and 3 continents.
* Balloon is now recognised as one of the leading UK social enterprises and in 2016 has been shortlisted for the International Impact Award at the UK Social Enterprise Awards.
* Leading Balloon I have built corporate volunteer programmes for Bain and Citi Bank and have developed and taught enterprise modules at Birkbeck, SOAS and Portsmouth.
* I have been a speaker and panel member at the World Resources Forum in DAVOS as well as the 2015 UNESCO/UNEVOC conference in Bonn, Germany
